Pressure remains on Cape freights
BMTI hears rumours of a recovery in Capesize front hauls, but thus far we have seen little evidence of the same on the physical market as freights for the biggest bulkers continue their downward spiral, albeit at a slower pace. (p. 1)

Bank CEO Jean Pierre Mustier denied rumours that UniCredit was exiting shipping while announcing the bank’s new restructuring plan in London. (p. 2)

ARAG bunkers to stay tight for rest of year
Supplies remain tight throughout the ARAG region with Rotterdam reporting that several VLCCs still booked for Singapore and could tie up supply for the remainder of the year. (p. 5)
