Panamax rates return to holding pattern (17 Nov 2025)

panamax bulk carrierAfter a fruitful first week of November in the NCSA-ECSA and North Atlantic markets at large, demand for Panamaxes seems to be easing a bit going into the mid-point of the month as traders take stock and charterers reassess their standing for the final stretch of the year. Even with cargo demand still running just ahead of open avails, owners are worried rates will start to flat-line this week unless a new impetus of demand emerges. NoPac rounds are nonetheless looking mildly buoyant with talk of last-done levels at upwards of US$ 19,250 on Kamsarmax vessels.
